Legal information on the PostFinance Card Lottery
The drawing of the winning numbers takes place on the 20th of each month – from August 2023 to February 2024. The draws are broadcast on lotto.postfinance.ch and our social media channels.
Private customers with an active PostFinance Card in CHF or EUR are automatically entered in the PostFinance Card Lottery. Participation is free of charge. Persons who are not permanently resident in Switzerland are excluded from the PostFinance Card Lottery. The PostFinance Cards of business customers are also excluded, as well as those of persons with powers of attorney on the account underlying the card, where these authorised representatives have a permanent residence abroad.
All PostFinance Cards in CHF and EUR that are active on the 20th of the corresponding month count as ‘lottery tickets’. Where the last three digits (Super Three) or last five digits (Super Jackpot) of the ID number match the winning numbers in the same order, these persons are deemed to have won.
The following prizes will be awarded:
- Winners of the Super Three will have the sum of 100 francs credited to their account.
- Winners of the Super Jackpot will receive a non-cash or experience prize worth up to 1,000 francs by post.
The non-cash and experience prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Exception: winners under the age of 18 will have the cash value of the Super Jackpot credited directly to their account. Only one win is paid out per Card, except in the unlikely event of the same winning numbers being drawn twice. The winners will be informed in writing within 14 days. They have the right to waive the prize, in which case the winner has to contact marktbearbeitung@postfinance.ch.
PostFinance excludes all liability in connection with the PostFinance Card Lottery to the extent permitted by law. Once the non-cash or experience prize has been shipped, the draw shall be deemed completed for PostFinance. PostFinance is responsible neither for the proper execution nor for the functioning of the non-cash and experience prizes. If the winner has any questions about the non-cash or experience prize, they should contact the provider concerned.
No correspondence shall be entered into regarding the competition. There is no right to information for the participants. The judges’ decision is final. The competition is subject to Swiss law. The sole place of jurisdiction shall be Bern.
